Foni Joyce Vuni

Foni Joyce is the programme coordinator at Global Refugee Youth Network (GRYN) and a coordinator at a Research Lead at the Refugee-Led Research Hub (RLRH). At RLRH she provides research guidance and advice on the Hub’s ongoing studies in research and academia.
At the Global Refugee Youth Network (GRYN), which supports young refugees to develop their capacity to help each other, she leads initiatives to respond to their communities’ needs and advocate for the changes they feel are important for them and their communities.
Foni hails from South Sudan, but was displaced to Kenya in the 1990s following the breakout of war. She is a passionate advocate for refugee education and for the role of women and youth as peace builders.
