CDAC Message Library

About the Message Library

CDAC Network’s Message Library is a reference to help quickly disseminate critical information to people affected by disasters. It offers clear, concise and simple messages on a range of topics as templates for you to adapt and use in your context.

It is intended to help you make a quick start on communicating with communities while further developing mechanisms for ongoing dialogue.

Guidance on contextualising and using the messages accompanies the Library. It can be used both as a disaster preparedness tool and following an emergency.

The messages in this library show in English, and each message set can be downloaded as a PDF. For other language options, use the ‘Select Language’ widget at the bottom right of the screen. This translation AI is powered by Google; we encourage you to check the translation of each message before use.

Acces the Bangladesh national platform message library, Shongjog, here.

The Library was originally developed in collaboration with several clusters/sectors in humanitarian response including Health, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene; Nutrition; Food Security; Protection (Child Protection, Gender-based Violence, Mine Risk Education); Education; and Camp Coordination Camp Management. It was most recently updated in March 2022.

If you have additional, relevant field-tested messages, or would like to suggest a revision to one of the messages, please get in touch with us at info@cdacnetwork.org.
